The sketch starts with Jonathan Swift and ends with the country cutie herself. Along the way are influential people such as Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton. The sketch is meant to show the path of influence between people who have made a significant impact on the writing and music industries, showing how an 18th century poet may have helped create a modern superstar.

Written by Mark Summers, the sketch will be featured in the August issue of Vanity Fair. Angelina Jolie will be the cover model of the issue.

Earlier this year she was quoted saying: “I have admired many of the CoverGirls since I was a little girl… great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of CoverGirl.”

When asked more recently at the Costume Institute Gala how she felt about being the new face of Covergirl, Swift eagerly responded, “I’m so excited! I can’t even tell you! It’s unbelievable! I’m just so excited!”

The name of the line has not yet been announced but will appear early next year.

Besides Taylor, also scheduled to perform is Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson. A fourth performer has been scheduled but as of now has not been announced. Seating for ten has been priced at $10,000, for five at $5,000, and an individual ticket can be purchased for $1,000. The event will be preceded by a cocktail hour and dinner.

The actual event wll be held in a “guitar pull” format, with all of the performers constantly onstage and the show unplanned and unrehearsed.

“Thes year especially, the event will provide much needed support as Nashville works to recover from the devestating impact of a once-every-500-years-flood,” Directory Kyle Young said. “While our exhibits and collections are all on upper floors and never in danger, flood waters did reach ‘five feet high and rising’ in our ground floor Ford Theater.”

In the video Hemingway will play Swift’s groom. Swift thought it was a little weird pretending to get married as she was quoted here: “I get to wear big dresses and wear white all the time on the carpet, but there’s nothing quite like actually pretending you’re getting married.”

Swift also had an interesting method to picking the actor for this video. She said, “I saw Feast of Love and just loved that movie and thought Toby was so great that I thought it would be perfect to put him in the video.”

But the final decision came from her lucky number. She added, “I was doing more research and watched another movie he was in called The Covenant. I’ve got this crazy 13 lucky thing, and he walks on screen for the first time wearing a sweatshirt with a 13 on it! That was the deciding factor, it wasn’t really up to me, it was about the number.”

So Toby Hemingway will be added to the ever-increasing list of Swift’s love interests, joining Lucas Till (You Belong With Me), Tyler Hilton (Teardrops On My Guitar), Justin Gaston (Love Story), and Stephen Colletti (White Horse). Who will she bring out next?

When asked about the name of her highly anticipated third studio album, Swift said, “Saying the right thing at the right moment is so crucial that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. But lately what I’ve begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything. These songs are made up of words I didn’t say when the moment was right in front of me. These songs are open letters. Each is written with a specific person in mind, telling them what I meant to tell them in person.”

Under Movies, Swift has recieved nominations for Chemistry (with Taylor Lautner for their movie Valentine’s Day), Breakout Female (for her role of Felisha in Valentine’s Day), and Liplock (with Taylor Lautner in Valentine’s Day).

Under the Music category Swift has recieved nominations for Female Artist, Country Album (for Fearless), Female Country Artist, and Country Song (”Fifteen”).

To vote for Swift you can go to the Teen Choice Awards website. With all the awards for Fearless, it makes me wonder what her next album, Speak Now, will bring.

 Unfotunately, that didn’t happen. Many people sat watching the computer screen while the webcam read that Taylor would be arriving shortly. At 4:12 a minute long countdown started and at the end she appeared.

She started answering questions and a little ways through, got to what everyone was waiting for. Taylor Swift’s newest album will be released to the public all around the world on October 25th. The album will be titled “Speak Now” and will be a collection of 14 songs, all written solely by herself, about her life.

 As the multi-platinum artist once said, “These albums are like my diaries. I feel like I’m putting out a new diary to read.” This one won’t dissapoint. All the songs were written about her own personal life. The first single on the album will be “Mine” and will be released on August 16th.  She recently filmed the music video. Also to be put on the album will be “Sparks Fly”, a song that was sung to a select few audiences on the tour and was loved by all who heard it.

Taylor dutifully answered fan questions for about 45 minutes, touching on topics from what her favorite summer outfit is (sundress, headband, and flats) to room decorating advice (a question I had sent in, although it is unlikely she was actually looking at my post) to what her favorite fan gift was (a giant puzzle, each piece given to her by a different person from a different place in the world). She also spoke of a another tour, saying she was going to play all over the world sometime after the album is released.

Meet and Greets were mentioned and she answered by telling how she loved doing her 15-hour meet and greet this past June 13th and would love to do something like it again. She also said that meet and greets were held before and after every show on the tour, so that is also another possibiltyon a future tour. 

For now though, all efforts will be going into releasing “Speak Now” and everyone will have to wait.
