Taylor Swift is to be mentioned in an upcoming August issue of Vanity Fair magazine. A sketch currently found here “traces the sketchy path from a peerless wit to a ‘Fearless’ starlet.”
The sketch starts with Jonathan Swift and ends with the country cutie herself. Along the way are influential people such as Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton. The sketch is meant to show the path of influence between people who have made a significant impact on the writing and music industries, showing how an 18th century poet may have helped create a modern superstar.
Written by Mark Summers, the sketch will be featured in the August issue of Vanity Fair. Angelina Jolie will be the cover model of the issue.

Taylor Swift will be the new Covergirl for 2011, joining Drew Barrymore, Faith Hill, Rihanna, and Queen Latifah among many. She recently shot the campaign and the ads will begin to appear in January.
Earlier this year she was quoted saying: “I have admired many of the CoverGirls since I was a little girl… great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of CoverGirl.”
When asked more recently at the Costume Institute Gala how she felt about being the new face of Covergirl, Swift eagerly responded, “I’m so excited! I can’t even tell you! It’s unbelievable! I’m just so excited!”
The name of the line has not yet been announced but will appear early next year.

On September 23th this year Taylor Swift will be among four scheduled performers to participate in an annual fundraiser for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. The show will be held at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California.
Besides Taylor, also scheduled to perform is Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson. A fourth performer has been scheduled but as of now has not been announced. Seating for ten has been priced at $10,000, for five at $5,000, and an individual ticket can be purchased for ( Read More…)

British actor Toby Hemingway (Black Swan, Feast of Love, The Covenant), age 27, was chosen as Taylor Swift’s newest love interest for her music video “Mine”. The song is to be released August 16th although no release date is currently set for the video.
In the video Hemingway will play Swift’s groom. Swift thought it was a little weird pretending to get married as she was quoted here: “I get to wear big dresses and wear white all the time on the carpet, but there’s nothing quite like actually pretending you’re getting married.”
Swift also had an interesting method to picking the actor for this video. She said, “I saw Feast of Love and just loved that movie and thought Toby was so great that I thought it would be perfect to put him in the video.”

Taylor Swift’s newest album, Speak Now, will be available for pre-order beginning August 20th, 4 days after the release of the first single of the album titled “Mine.” The 14-song album will be released through Big Machine Records on October 25th and was co-produced by Nathan Chapman and Taylor Swift herself.
When asked about the name of her highly anticipated third studio album, Swift said, “Saying the right thing at the right moment is so crucial that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. But lately what I’ve begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything. These songs are made up of words I didn’t say when the moment was right in front of me. These songs are open letters. Each is written with a specific person in mind, telling them what I meant to tell them in person.”

The Teen Choice Awards will be held August 8th and will be airing on August 9th (8pm to 10pm). Fans ages 13-19 will be able to vote once a day until the actual event on categories ranging from Favorite Reality Show to Best Smile. Taylor Swift has been nominated for seven Teen Choice Awards this year in the following categories.
Under Movies, Swift has recieved nominations for Chemistry (with Taylor Lautner for their movie Valentine’s Day), Breakout Female (for her role of Felisha in Valentine’s Day), and Liplock (with Taylor Lautner in Valentine’s Day).

Taylor Swift was in her new condo today when she spoke to over 55,000 fans via webcast. You can tell there’s devotion when the count of people tuned into the site 45 minutes before the scheduled start time is already 4,500. The viewer count was at about 30,000 at 4 o’clock Nashville time, the scheduled time of the webcast.
Unfotunately, that didn’t happen. Many people sat watching the computer screen while the webcam read that Taylor would be arriving shortly. At 4:12 a minute long countdown started and at the end she appeared.
She started answering questions and a little ways through, got to what everyone was waiting for. Taylor Swift’s newest album will be released to the public all around the world on October 25th. The album will be titled “Speak Now” and will be a collection of 14 songs, all written solely by herself, about her life.
As the multi-platinum artist once said, “These albums are like my diaries. I feel like I’m putting out a new diary to read.” This one won’t dissapoint. All the songs were written about her own personal life. The first single on the album will be “Mine” and will be released on August 16th. She recently filmed the music video. Also to be put on the album will be “Sparks Fly”, a song that was sung to a select few audiences on the tour and was loved by all who heard it.
