NEWS
60 Minutes, most successful broadcast in TV history, meet Taylor Swift, most successful artist in music history.
Taylor Swift fans already get to share the country superstar’s life via her Facebook page and her Twitter account. But now, the rest of mainstream America can succumb to her charms when she makes an appearance on this weekend’s edition of 60 Minutes.
With world domination securely in place, Swift is putting the cherry on top by sitting with Lesley Stahl to talk about said domination, her status as a role model for millions of adoring young fans, and what price fame. She is coming off of her historic win at the 45th Annual CMA Awards, where she snagged the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” award for the second time - a feat done by, well, noone ever before.
Of course, 60 Minutes is no slouch, either. The show is well into its 44th season, and has plenty of Emmys and other awards to brag about in its own right. You can catch Taylor’s interview this Sunday night, November 20, at 7pm (ET). Check out a sneak peek here.

Last week, Taylor Swift concert-goers were treated to two Grammy Award winning artists for the price of one when rapper T.I. joined Taylor Swift onstage.
Fans at the Philips Arena in Atlanta didn’t know what to think when Taylor Swift started singing Rihanna’s vocals from “Live Your Life.” Then, T.I. stepped onstage and the crowd went wild. This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has featured major artists on her 2011 Speak Now World Tour. She’s also been joined by Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber along the way.

It’s completely unprecedented in Taylor Swift’s entire musical career - she called out sick!
Looks like the country darlin’ got sidetracked by a bout of bronchitis over Fourth of July weekend forcing her to postpone her 7/2 show in Louisville, Ky., at the KFC Yum! Center until Oct. 11. And it seems the illness is persisting because a few more shows have been moved to later dates, including her Charlotte, NC, date and her two-night stay in Atlanta.
“It breaks my heart to miss out on this weekend’s shows with my friends in Charlotte and Atlanta,” Swift said in a statement. “I would never cancel if I thought I was physically able to perform these shows. I am so sorry to the fans, but I look forward to seeing you when we come back through your towns, which we will do.”
Check out Taylor’s official website for all the tour date changes. We wish her a speedy recovery!

Taylor Swift is breaching the gap between East and West with both her second and third albums. After wrapping up the successful Asian leg of her worldwide tour, Swift was presented by platinum sales plaques from South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines and Indonesia for her sales of “Fearless.”
“Some of them were really surprising to me. I wasn’t aware of every single certification we have in Asia. It really blew my mind,” Swift told The Associated Press. “… “I love country music, and I love the fact that it’s being accepted all over the world. That is so exciting.”

Because Speak Now came out so late last year it missed the deadline for this year’s Grammys. However it’s made it into the award circuit now and landed Taylor Swift four nominations at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards! Taylor is up for:
- Entertainer of the Year
- Top Female Vocalist
- Album of the Year (As an artist)
- Album of the Year (As a producer)
Taylor has been nominated a total of thirteen times before starting as early as 2007. Three of those awards she won, Top New Female Vocalist in 2008, Crystal Milestone Award in 2009, and Album of the Year for Fearless also in 2009.

‘Tis the season for the year-end lists of what was the best of the best from 2010. The Associated Press is leading things off, releasing their list of ten best albums of the year, and naturally, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now is among them.
Swift, now 20, continues to make amazing music as she matures into a young woman with appeal beyond the tweener set. Indeed, Taylor Swift tickets are a hot commodity for all ages. The AP recognizes her ability to both grow and remain the same, especially where it counts - her talent. Here’s what AP had to say:
“Swift gets a lot of attention for her read-between-the-lines tomes, but after the guessing game stops (is this one about John Mayer? Is that one about Taylor Lautner?), what remains are terrific, compelling songs with rich plot lines that will stay with you long after the gossip fades.”
What would your top ten album list look like for 2010?
